Outbound Warehouse Manager 

Position based in Ghana (West Africa)

With a current workforce of approximately 1,000 operators, the factory is in an expansion phase right now and will have the capacity to double its workforce. EAA collaborates with factories across West Africa to elevate technical and ethical standards to meet international benchmarks. Their clientele primarily comprises international brands hailing from Europe and the USA, all seeking to establish and expand their manufacturing presence within the African continent.

 

Position overview

 

The Outbound Warehouse Manager oversees all final-stage garment operations at Maagrace Garment Industries Limited and ensures full compliance with Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT), WRAP, and international supply-chain security standards. The role guarantees high-quality carton packing, accurate traceability through the barcoding system, and robust security protocols to protect goods from tampering, contamination, or diversion throughout the supply chain. The position plays a critical role in preparing export-ready goods and maintaining MGIL’s compliance with brand, customs, and regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse / loading operations management

  • Manage the Outbound Warehouse team to ensure the following happens on time and the the correct Standard Operating Procedure

    • Inbound receipt of goods from the sewing lines

    • Metal detection of all goods where required by the client

    • Post detection carton loading and labelling

    • Carton receipt and tracking onto the ERP system before assigning location in the warehouse

    • AQL carton selection, allocation and receipt back into the C-TPAT warehouse (C-TPAT stands for Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, this is the loading warehouse)

    • Client specific processes are 100% accurate and followed for 

      • Carton labelling

      • Carton scanning and system recording

      • Report production and circulation

  • Ensure the Warehouse supervisor is working with the IT, mechanic and maintenance team to ensure all machinery and systems are calibrated and fully functioning at all times within the metal detection, finished goods and carton storage warehouse.

  • Work with the planning manager and the EAA logistics manager to coordinate workflow to meet deadlines efficiently and optimize labour productivity including any out of hours requirements

  • Manage the inventory of all items required for carton packing, labelling and export and ensure never out of stock.  

 

C-TPAT & Supply Chain Security and Customs Compliance

  • Alongside with Production Manager implement and enforce C-TPAT security procedures across finishing, packing, storage, and loading areas.

  • Oversee the team to conduct and document regular inspections (daily, weekly, monthly) to ensure compliance with C-TPAT Minimum Security Criteria.

  • Oversee container and truck security, including:

    • 7-point container inspection

    • 17-point chassis inspection

    • Seal control (issuance, verification, log maintenance)

  • Ensure strict control of access to C-TPAT, warehouse, and dispatch areas.

  • Monitor and report security anomalies (unauthorized access, missing materials, packaging irregularities) alongside the Compliance and Security teams.

  • Coordinate with security, logistics, and the Compliance Manager during C-TPAT audits or brand security assessments.

  • Work with the EAA Logistics team to manage and own the relationship with Koforidua customs and ICUMS to ensure they are present and available for all container loading and sealing on time.

  • Ensure visitors, contractors, and suppliers comply with MGIL security and code of conduct protocols.

 

Documentation, reporting & continuous improvement

  • Verify and confirm the records for all metal detection and carton loading, barcoding scans, carton issuance, and shipment preparation at all times.

  • Lead root-cause analysis for C-TPAT and loading or security-related non-conformities.

  • Support SOP development and updates for packing, security, barcoding, and loading procedures.

  • Recommend efficiency improvements, layout optimization, and waste reduction initiatives.

 

Training & Team Leadership

  • Train and develop the Warehouse supervisor to effectively manage the team and ensure their development in 

    • C-TPAT awareness, processes and reporting

    • ERP system and barcoding

    • Container inspection

    • Team development and management

  • Mentor team members and enforce consistent disciplinary and performance expectations.

  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and security mindfulness.

 

Qualifications and attributes

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field; OR equivalent professional experience in warehousing, production, or loading supervision.

  • Minimum of 5 years in warehouse and industrial environments, with particular experience in managing multiple systems

  • Experience with export operations, security protocols, or C-TPAT is a strong advantage.

  • Experience or understanding of garment manufacturing processes and quality standards is a plus

  • Familiarity with WRAP, SMETA, ISO 9001, C-TPAT or similar international standards a plus

  • Excellent communication, organizational, reporting, and people-management skills.

  • Ability to train staff and enforce compliance procedures consistently.
