Training Operations Associate
Position based in Accra, Ghana

Assignment Period: 2 years with a possibility of an extension
Scope of Work
The GIZ public-private-partnership program (develoPPP) was established by the German government (BMZ) to support and foster the involvement of the private sector in developing countries and emerging economies. GIZ is currently launching a public-private partnership program with a consortium of private firms -- sourcing company Ethical Apparel Africa, sportswear manufacturer DTRT, digital pattern company Gerber and needle supplier Groz Beckert -- focused on the emerging apparel industry in West Africa.
Responsibilities
1. Administrative and Financial Management

Work with GIZ administrative staff and the EAA Association Operations team to support expenditure and reconciliation of training related costs -- including petty cash oversight

Support the Project Trainers (comprised of both GIZ and EAA Association staff) to plan the logistical elements of training programs -- including preparation of training materials, day-of-training logistics, stakeholder communications, refreshments, etc.

Working with GIZ and EAA Association staff, ensure on-ground Project Trainers are fully supported in terms of their accommodation (including all liaisons with landlord).

Support in general office administrative processes and upkeep, e.g. procurement of office utilities, stationary, internet system, electricity, water etc.
2. Partnership Development

Support relationship development with stakeholders across the project, with particular focus on: Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTC), all supported factories, Association of Ghana Apparel Manufacturers (AGAM)

Support outreach and relationship management to other universities beyond ATTC (e.g. Blue Crest, Radford, KNUST)
3. Communication Management

Closely work with the Head Middle Management Trainer to support effective communication practices across GIZ, EAA Association, other private sector partners, ATTC, and factories

Support the development and updating of clear schedules and weekly calendars for Expert-led training sessions across ATTC and factory settings

Lead efforts to effective document training sessions including attendance sheets, photos, and recaps as relevant; Work with Trainers to summarize lessons learned and integrate learnings into future trainings

Support the Expert Trainers to collect information for and package reports in line with GIZ program deliverables ▪ Support the GIZ team to implement monitoring & evaluation activity logistics (as relevant)
4. Team On boarding and Support

Required qualifications, competences and experience
-
At least 3 years’ experience in operations and administration management
-
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office especially Excel

Exceptional cross-cultural communication and presentation skills

Passion for working in a company with a social mission and building local capacity
